HMD Global has recently announced upcoming Nokia-marquee phone under its X-series. However, it is only bound for China. As usual, its marked feature includes notched display of 5.8 inch FHD+ 2280×1080. It will have an aspect ratio of 19:9 and will come packed in protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The front of the handset will offer 95% of screen protected neatly in metal frames. One can choose the color of the phone from three available versions, namely blue, black, and silver.
Nokia X6 comes powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC (more specifically System-on-chip). It is loaded with a RAM of 4GB and offers you neither-good-nor-so-bad internal storage of 64GB, though a smaller version of 32 GB internal storage is also there. The higher end model will come with 6GB of RAM along with 64GB storage. But the limited internal storage shouldn’t bother the users as one can still create a great space for their files and folders on the external storage. All the models of the phone, whether it is a high-end one or it is a low end one, will come with microSD card slots. This will prove a great help for expanding your storage possibilities. One also gets back-mounted fingerprint sensors which makes the phone truly top-notch.
The only port that X6 supports is USB-C. This is pretty good at charging and offers you Quick Charge delivery of 3.0 to 50 percent of charging in just 30 minutes. Next on the line is the Camera setup of the smartphone. This is pretty intriguing as the phone offers you a front facing camera of 16-megapixel sensor along with f/2.0 aperture together with face unlock feature included. At the same time, the back camera offers f/2.0 16MP sensor along with a smaller sensor of 5-megapixel monochrome paired up with f/2.2 lens. Whichever model you buy, the cameras will come along with Al trickery suite offering cooler features like background blur, face regognition, and so on.
The manufacturers of Nokia X6 are said to be working on Android P once X6 gets launched. This means, X6 will make its debut with Android’s current stable build of 8.1 Oreo.
The only sad part is that the notched phone that is all set to debut on May 21st in China doesn’t seem to show any availability outside China as of now. Perhaps it gets launched outside soon, though no announcements have yet been made. Taking a quick look at the prices, the entry-level 4GB/32GB model will be available at 1,299 yuan equivalent to $204. The middle range models with 4GB/64GB versions will get a price tag of 1,449 yuan or $236 and the high end Nokia C6 model 6GB/64GB version will be retailed for 1,699 yuan or $266.
Let’s wait and hope, the manufacturers announce the phone outside China soon!
